A Literature Review on CSR in the Innovation Process
September 2008.
A new literature review explores the state of the art in corporate social innovation (CSI) research. It briefly outlines the main themes in the corporate social responsibility debate and the organizational innovation literature.
The review is prepared by Mette Morsing and Kai Hockerts from the Copenhagen Business School Center for Corporate Social Responsibility and is part of a collaborative research effort, the Nordic Centre on Corporate Responsibility (NCCR), bringing together CSR researchers from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. This paper draws on interviews with 12 investor relations directors. These were used to elicit the mental models respondents used when explaining their firms’ motivation to engage in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
